Building blocks from happiness
Installation (blood sample, result, photograph, bricks), 2015, dimensions variable
Prater is a playground which people visit so that they would make themselves happier. I am using a scientific method and knowledge in the form of a pseudo-scientific experiment which is based on measuring the level of adrenalin and serotonin (connected with happiness, commonly named as the hormone of happiness) from blood sample after taking rides in several toys (machines) at Prater. After the ride, my blood samples are taken and examined in a laboratory in order to show levels of adrenalin and serotonin. The results are being used as a starting point for building a wall as a reference to the contemporary walls build to "protect" Europe from immigrants and refugees. Every unit of the hormones becomes a brick in the wall. In this way the correlation between happiness of Europeans and the height of the wall has been made.
